Putnam, Marietta’s school mascot, celebrated his second birthday on Jan. 21, 2016. Students gathered in Gilman Dining Hall for the celebration. Putnam himself served cake to students to help celebrate.
Two years after his birth, students are still excited about having an official mascot.
“I think having a mascot gives our school and identity” Baffour Paapa Nkrumah-Ababio, member of Pioneer Activities Council (PAC), said.
