Marietta College’s 2024 Homecoming is set to take place Saturday, October 26th, with a week’s worth of excitement before the big weekend.
This year’s theme, ‘Reaching New Heights’, was inspired by the cover of the Marietta College Alumnus magazine, published in May of 1974.
Some events taking place include; the Alpha Xi Delta Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony and the Alpha Xi Delta Sisterhood Soiree among other Greek events; the annual Communication Department Open House along with the WCMO Dedication; a Valley Gem Boat Ride; Marietta Mingle: Student and Alumni Networking Event; Coffee and donuts with the Petroleum Engineering and Geology Department; and other special events you do not want to miss!
For current students, a week filled with fun filled activities kicks off Sunday the 20th with bingo in the Gathering Place. Munchies on the Mall takes place Monday after classes, Tuesday includes college trivia and shirt handouts, Wednesday is the homecoming candidate banner decorating contest, Thursday is full of various games and activities across campus, and Saturday rounds out the week with the homecoming football game against Baldwin Wallace in Don Drumm Stadium at 2:00 p.m. Show your pioneer spirit, support your peers on homecoming court, watch an exciting football game, connect with alumni, and make this the best homecoming yet!
There will be a registration table in the lobby of the Hermann Fine Arts Center from October 24th to the 26th to register if you are an alumnus planning to attend. Questions about Homecoming 2024? Contact the Office of Alumni Engagement at alumni@marietta.edu or 740.376.4447. Alumni can find more information, how to preregister online, the homecoming schedule, and more on the Marietta College website.
If you are a recent graduate, have not been back since graduation and are planning your first homecoming trip, or attend every year, we look forward to seeing all of the Long Blue Line members stepping back on campus being greeted by future members!
