Crowds cheer causing a great commotion. Racing cars take people’s eyes by storm. NASCAR has arrived in small town Ohio.
This week NASCAR driver Ryan “Gamble” Roulette had his racecar on tour in parts of West Virginia and Ohio. This tour included the VFW Post 5108 in Marietta, Ohio. The VFW hosted a membership drive with free food, merchandise, Hero Cards signed by Roulette, and the racecar on display. The No.12 car attracted families and kids to stop by the VFW, Kids were even allowed to sit inside of the car.
Roulette himself is active in the military, joining the Air Force straight out of high school. As an Air Force Officer, he currently holds the rank of Major. Hence, the Veterans of Foreign Wars organization is one of Roulette’s primary sponsors as he competes part time for Fast Track Racing. He competes part time as he has to balance his duties as an Air Force pilot flying a B-52 out of his hometown in Minot, North Dakota. and as a father.
“It’s all about camaraderie, bringing veterans together, and spreading awareness,” Roulette commented on his cars tour of the Mid-Ohio Valley
Fast Track Racing sent Gamble’s Ford Fusion on tour to local VFW posts across the United States while they are traveling to their next race. They do this to raise awareness about the programs and services VFW’s offer and to help support local membership drives like the one held in Marietta. Currently the team is going through the Mid-Ohio Valley as the team makes their way towards Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee.
Gamble is currently 13th in points for the ARCA Menards Series and is 5th in Rookie of the Year contention. Last month, Roulette recorded his first top ten on the season finishing 8th at Salem Speedway in Indiana.
If you wish to cheer on Roulette all ARCA races are broadcasted live on FS1. Gamble is set to compete next on September 19th. If you wish to help support your local VFW or become a member of a VFW, contact them at vfw.org or on Facebook.
