Thanksgiving Festivities

When the scary season ends, the feast season begins. November is here, and everybody loves to celebrate the festivities of Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving offers the opportunity to be around loved ones and enjoy a giant meal. Nothing is more special than the creation of new memoires, and the bonding of family members.

Every year tends to be the same traditions though, with the helping of cooking the meal with grandma and mom, as well as having a turkey bowl football game in the backyard with the kids. If you’re tired of the same old traditions, or you’re looking to add some new activities so people in the household are not bored, I’ll share some new ideas.

For those who want more bonding time with their loved ones here are a few activities that you should keep in mind.

1.Bonfire

A bonfire will allow you to sit and cherish every second with the group, while being snuggled up by the fire. In this setting you can tell stories, roast marshmallows and do much more. This tradition will allow not only the adults to share stories from past years, but the kids will too. Laughing around the bonfire is an incredible memory to create that will be everlasting.

2. Family Game Night

A family game night will not only be fun for kids but for adults as well. You can play the mobile game Heads Up! or charades. Both games can become really competitive. Furthermore, having a friendly competitive tournament that includes multiple games for points can add a diverse aspect of entertainment. This will keep the kids occupied while some of the adults make the food. Kids typically enjoy games although some might not like to lose. Overall, it’ll create a memory for everyone.

3. Pre-post Meal Hike

If your family enjoys being active, then a hike before or after the feast might be a perfect fit for your family. This allows the kids and yourself to explore nature and take in the moment. The kids can run and have fun while the adults can have an endearing conversation while keeping a steady pace. A walk can also help you and the others distress. This activity will burn the calories that were just consumed or allows one to get hungry right before the meal.

4. Thanksgiving Piñatas

Who doesn’t love piñatas? Even though piñatas are used for birthdays, they can also be used on holidays to spice some traditions up. Piñatas are fun for all ages and can be enjoyed by everyone. Even if you don’t want to take part in the festivity, it’ll still be nice to watch and take pictures of those participating. Kids get to win candy, and the parents love to watch their kids enjoying themselves.

These are just a few of the many traditions and activities that can be added to your Thanksgiving itinerary, just as long as everyone can be included. It’ll be much more meaningful when everyone is involved and can create those special and loving memories.
