On Tuesday, February 5, the Marietta College Pioneer Activity Council, also known as PAC, hosted their second annual game show for couples and platonic relationships to challenge one another for the opportunity to win a night out on the town. PAC is a student-run organization that is committed to serving as the primary programming unit of Marietta College. They provide entertainment events and plan all major campus traditions, such as Homecoming and Family Weekend.
There were two rounds – one round for couples and one round for best friends. Each round held a cluster of questions for each set of couples, ranging from their partners’ favorite color to how many shoes they have in their closet. Each partner set gained a point for the correct matching answers written on white boards and shown to the audience and judges.
The couples round ended with a tie breaker for second place, with Kris Otto and Emily Birnbrich battling Ashley Olszewski and Jonathan Kungle. Otto and Birnbrich ended up winning the tie breaker, placing second place and winning gift cards. The winning couple, Destiny Grimm and Shane Spencer, placed first and won gift cards to celebrate their victory.
There was also a tie for the best friend’s round; however, no tie breaker was necessary. First place winners were Quinci Jones and Taylor Pennock tying with Shawnte’ Watson and Kaitlyn Perkins. Both partners won gift certificates to celebrate their victories as well.
Upcoming on PAC’s agenda is the men’s Marietta College Lacrosse team opening their 2019 season at the Don Drumm Stadium February 16t at
