Lindsay Joy is a Marietta College freshman who is carrying sixteen credit hours this semester while also working at the Ely Chapman Education Foundation. She is a hard-working, godly, smart, caring, and beautiful young woman. She is taking freshman and sophomore level coursework and is excelling in her academic studies. Lindsay is an aspiring elementary teacher and is pursuing a Teacher Leadership Certificate.
Lindsay always sets time aside to do her homework, papers, and prepare for quizzes and exams. Her record is impressive and proves her attitude towards success. She transferred in many hours and is continuing her passionate journey towards becoming a teacher. She always speaks to everyone and cares for her family with all her heart.
However, it would be a disservice to not mention her beauty as a Christian. Even though she is busy in college, she manages to attend most Wednesday night and all Sunday morning church services with the only intent to seek after God. Although this is commendable, what is even more so is the fact that she lives what she believes.
Lindsay is one of the sweetest girls I know. She displays kindness and service, not to mention dedication and love. Lindsay is following her dream and what God has called her to do. She will be such a great teacher and mentor to the students she reaches through her licensure. She already has highlights of her weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays because she works with young kids at Ely Chapman for three hours in the afternoon. Enjoyment makes the job not seem like work. She also volunteers for the leadership program with younger students at a local elementary school, producing the same result (Live Healthy Kids).
I have grown fond of Lindsay and come to know her very well. She is qualified to be in the spotlight because there is so much beauty for the world to see in Lindsay and much more to be uncovered. The students and children she encounters love her to a level that reflects her passion and energy. She continues to amaze me and I wanted to honor this godly young woman of joy.
